Abstract
- Horizontoates A-C were isolated from Cotoneaster horizontalis Decne.
- The structures of these compounds were elucidated by chemical and modern spectroscopic techniques.
- Compounds 1 and 2 showed significant inhibitory effects on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butylcholinesterase (BChE) in a dose-dependent manner.
- The IC50 values of compounds 1-2 were 1.54 and 3.41 μM against AChE while 5.97 and 6.84 μM against BChE, respectively.
