Abstract
- The effect of pyridine compounds on growth of lettuce cells derived from protoplasts was investigated.
- Nicotinic acid inhibited the division and colony formation of the cell, but trigonelline did not.
- Trigonelline formation from nicotinic acid appears to be a detoxification reaction.
