Abstract
⺠A new anthocyanin was isolated from the purple-violet flowers of Moricandia arvensis. ⺠The structure was elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic data. ⺠Tetra acylated anthocyanin was based on 3-sophoroside-5-glucoside of cyanidin. ⺠The anthocyanin glycosylation pattern had chemotaxonomic significance.
