Abstract
- A phenolic constituent of sunflower (Helianthus annuus) seed extract was characterized.
- A new caffeic acid derivative was isolated from the seeds of sunflower.
- An antioxidant effect of the phenolics from the sunflower seeds was evaluated.
- Caffeic acid derivatives were shown to have a high antioxidant potency.
