Abstract
⺠The plant Pygmacopremna herbacea is used in the ayurvedic system of medicine for curing several diseases in India and is endowed with many biologically active diterpenoids. ⺠Two new diterpenoids, bharangi γ-lactone and bharangin δ-lactone were isolated for the first time from the root nodules of Pygmacopremna herbacea (Roxb.) Moldenke. ⺠The structures of the new diterpenoids were established by spectroscopic studies including high field NMR spectra.
