Abstract
⺠A novel flavonostilbene glycoside and five known stilbenes were isolated from Polygonum multiflorum. ⺠The absolute configuration of the new flavonostilbene glycoside was established by a combination of NMR and a CD method. ⺠A new flavonostilbene skeleton has been established. ⺠Polygonflavanol A is the first natural example of flavonostilbene glycoside.
