Abstract
⺠Extraction parameters for the efficient extraction of plant cyclotides have been optimized. ⺠Hydroalcoholic solutions of medium polarity give high total extractive yield. ⺠Different cyclotide species can be targeted by varying the concentration of methanol/ethanol. ⺠A single maceration for 6 h at a ratio of 0.5 g/mL appears as a time and cost effective extraction procedure.
