Abstract
A comprehensive reinvestigation of chemical constituents from the rhizomes of Hedychium coronarium resulted in the isolation of one new labdane-type diterpene, together with eight known compounds. Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods. Some of the isolated compounds showed significant cytotoxicity with IC50 values lower than 4 μg mlâ1.
