Abstract
⺠A new bi-isoflavonoid, podocarnone, was isolated from Podocarpium podocarpum. ⺠Podocarnone exhibited antiosteoporotic activity even at concentration of 10â14 M. ⺠The antiosteoporotic activity of podocarnone is greater than genistein. ⺠The number of phenolic rings maybe responsible for this antiosteoporosis activity.
