Abstract
► A new bi-isoflavonoid, podocarnone, was isolated from Podocarpium podocarpum. ► Podocarnone exhibited antiosteoporotic activity even at concentration of 10−14 M. ► The antiosteoporotic activity of podocarnone is greater than genistein. ► The number of phenolic rings maybe responsible for this antiosteoporosis activity.
