Abstract
⺠Aloe ferox, indigenous to South Africa, is a medicinal plant of significant commercial importance. ⺠The phytochemistry has been extensively researched and several chromones and anthrones have been isolated. ⺠A range of biological properties has been ascribed to Aloe ferox and its constituents.
