Abstract
⺠A comprehensive phytochemical study of Vepris glomerata was undertaken. ⺠A prenylated cinnamaldehyde (glomeral) and nine known compounds were isolated. ⺠Glomeral and hesperetin showed antimicrobial activity comparable to that of chloramphenicol. ⺠A full structural elucidation of glomeral was carried out.
