Abstract
⺠We isolated alstrostine A from Chassalia curviflora var. ophioxyloides. ⺠We isolated rudgeifoline, a new compound from Rudgea cornifolia. ⺠Both compounds are alkaloids which consist of one tryptamine and two iridoid units. ⺠Alstrostines contain a pyrrolidinoindoline core and are alkaloids of the Psychotria alliance. ⺠Structures were determined by NMR-spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
