Abstract
⺠Seven phenolic compounds were characterized from bark of Pecan tree; two of them are new and the others are known. ⺠Hypoglycemic, antioxidant and aldose reductase inhibitory effect in lenses of diabetic rats were evaluated for the compounds. ⺠Compound 3 and its glucoside 7 revealed the highest hypoglycaemic and AR-inhibitory effects.
