Abstract
A search for precursor acetogenins in seeds of Annona squamosa (Annonaceae) yielded 20 low polarity compounds, among which dieposabadelin (1), squamocenin (2), lepirenin (3) and dotistenin (4) were previously undescribed. Structural identification, using hemisynthetic means, is discussed.
