Abstract
												The novel 2-O-demethyl-acutumine, and 6-O-methyl-laudanosoline-1-O-glucoside was isolated from the stems of Sinomenium acutum together with three known alkaloids. Sinomenine was found to show good inhibitory activity toward Lactobacillus 30a l-histidine decarboxylase.
