Abstract
IPN and terpolymeric hydrogels characterized by multi-stimuli-responsive behavior are synthesized by polymerizing N-isopropylacrylamide, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid in various mutual ratios and different synthetic orders. Both the frontal and the classical polymerization techniques are used. The obtained hydrogels are characterized by properties that are dependent on the type of material, monomer ratio, synthetic order and polymerization technique.171
