Abstract
Two novel electroluminescent Eu-chelated copolymers P1 and P2 were prepared by using a polymerizable aryl phosphine oxide (APO) ligand based Eu3+ complex and vinylcarbazole as the monomers. The excellent optical and thermal properties were proved. The detail of intra-chain energy transfer in the Eu-containing copolymers was firstly investigated, which showed the intermediate effect of the APO ligands between PVK and Eu(TTA)3. The pure red emission from PLEDs was demonstrated.
