Abstract
Tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) in molten state has been found to be highly efficient and recyclable catalyst for the synthesis of aryl-14H-dibenzo[a.j]xanthenes under solvent-free conventional and microwave heating in excellent yields.
