Abstract
Titanium containing MCM-41 silica materials, prepared by direct synthesis or wet impregnation technique, were investigated with XRD, TEM, N2-physisorption, TPR-TG, UV–vis diffuse reflectance and FT-IR spectroscopy. Presence of titanium mainly in tetrahedral position was observed for the samples prepared by direct synthesis, while a significant amount of anatase is registered for the impregnated one. The former materials possess higher catalytic activity in total toluene oxidation.
