Abstract
SAPO-11 samples were prepared by increasing the structure directing agent (SDA) content at a constant pH of starting gel and then characterized by XRD, SEM, TG analysis, 29Si MAS NMR and NH3-TPD. So-produced SAPO-11 showed the uniform particle size, high crystallinity and strong acidity compared with those obtained by the conventional synthesis. Furthermore, they possessed unique Si distribution, as illustrated by 29Si MAS NMR. As a result, Pt catalysts prepared from those SAPO-11 samples showed higher catalytic activity and better product selectivity for isomerization than those obtained from the conventional methods.
