Abstract
Comparative evaluation of degradation yield of chain scission (Gs) with other high energy radiations such as ultraviolet- and gamma radiation showed microwave to be the least efficient, but considering the environmental impact and low running costs it presents a viable alternative to obtain targeted molecular weights of charged polysaccharides.
