Abstract
Ruthenium tris(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionate): a structurally well defined O-containing transition metal complex is reported as an efficient catalyst for regioselective synthesis of vinyl carbamates using carbon dioxide, secondary amines and alkynes. The effects of different reaction parameters like catalyst screening, solvent, temperature and pressure on the reaction system were investigated. The protocol was applicable to aliphatic/aromatic alkynes and secondary amines providing good to excellent yields of desired products.
