Abstract
A new test apparatus is designed which can be used to evaluate thermal radiation properties of fabric made from polymeric materials. The IR intensities measured by this apparatus change on both fabric surfaces in three stages: an initial stage, a dynamic stage and a steady stage. A set of indices is defined to characterize IR radiation properties in these different stages.
