Abstract
We present here the experimental realization of anticorrosion coating from electrospun conducting polyaniline (PANI)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) microfibers film for protecting carbon steel in 3Â wt% NaCl solution. The preliminary results demonstrate that the carbon steel coated with electrospun PANI/PMMA microfibers film have enhanced anticorrosion performances in comparison with the drop-cast PANI/PMMA film. The superior anticorrosion protection of electrospun PANI/PMMA microfibers film with 25Â wt% PANI may be due to its extraordinary compact microstructure. The current study may provide a new way of enhancing anticorrosion behaviors of PANI anticorrosion coatings.
