Abstract
Cyclic oligoether with alkoxide groups is obtained in the reaction of alkalide Kâ, K+(15-crown-5)2 with benzyl glycidyl ether. This oligoether contains potassium glycidoxide units and benzyl glycidyl ether units. Its use as a macroinitiator should lead to star-shaped polymers with a cyclic core.
