Abstract

Design of the bioactive fluorescent jasmonate aided by molecular modeling was detailed. Molecular docking exhibited strong affinity of the fluorescent jasmonate to the receptor in the binding pocket through hydrogen bonding network. Migration progress of the fluorescent jasmonate in tomato was first visualized by fluorescent imaging. The result demonstrated the fluorescent jasmonate gradually distributed all over the tomato fruit during a period of two days. This study will greatly facilitate elucidation of molecular mechanism of the beneficial effects of jasmonate in fruits and vegetables.
