Abstract
ent-Halimic acid has been used in the synthesis of the quinone/hydroquinone sesquiterpenes (−)-aureol, (−)-smenoqualone, (−)-neomamanuthaquinone and in the formal synthesis of (−)-cyclosmenospongine.
