Abstract
Anatase TiO2 powders were calcined with sulfur at 500 °C for 2 h in vacuumized and sealed circumstance. TiO2 processed with this method has stronger absorbance to visible light than pure TiO2. But its absorbance to ultraviolet is weaker comparing to the absorbance of pure TiO2. In degradation of methylene blue under visible light (W.L. >430 nm), efficiency of TiO2 processed in sulfur is obviously higher than that of pure TiO2.
