Abstract
In contrast to cyclopropyl groups, two amino substituents reduce the stabilizing effect of each other. This is obtained by a DFT journey between two distinct six membered ring carbenes, including diamino (series 1) and dialkylcarbenes (series 3), through cyclic aminoalkylcarbenes (CAACs, series 2).
