Abstract
For the first time Si–C-podands 1–3 (with Si–C bonds) have been studied as efficient and powerful catalysts in typical anion promoted reactions under solid–liquid conditions, even in low polarity solvent. Their complexation extent of Na+ and K+ and catalytic activities are comparable with those of the classical solid–liquid phase transfer catalysts, Si-podands (4, 5) reported in our earlier works.
