Abstract
Enzymatic coupling offers noticeable advantages over the chemical method but is limited in terms of its substrate specificity. We extended one of the substrates of subtilisin Calsberg from its natural species to steroidal derivatives. A series of amino acid-steroid conjugates were prepared via the catalysis of subtilisin in DMF and their estrogen-like activities were analyzed.
