Abstract
A novel class of angularly fused dioxa-triquinanes is synthesized by a tandem enyne/RCM of a dienyne derived from a sugar template. The effect of ethylene atmosphere and different protecting groups on the tandem enyne/RCM reaction is demonstrated here.
