Abstract
Zn[(l)proline] was found to be an effective catalyst for the very fast synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives from the condensation of the o-phenylenediamines and 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds at room temperature in excellent yields. The catalyst is recyclable and reusable.
