Abstract
A direct transition-metal-free synthesis of 2-benzoylpyrrole derivatives from free (N-H) pyrroles and benzaldehyde has been developed. This strategy offers a simple, efficient approach to synthesis of the 2-benzoylpyrrole derivatives.
