Abstract
The formation of CO bonds is one of the fundamental transformations in organic chemistry. This digest summarizes recent advances in transition-metal-catalyzed etherification of unactivated CH bonds. Etherification reactions with different directing groups and catalyst systems via C(sp2)H and C(sp3)H bonds activation are described.
