Abstract
A very mild and efficient Brønsted acid-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond forming reaction for the synthesis of oxazinanones has been developed. Oxazinanones (2) are obtained as the unprecedented tandem elimination-cycloaddition product in good yields from corresponding Boc-imines (1). The reaction is remarkably significant given its novelty, mild reaction conditions, simplicity and low cost of the catalyst system.
