Abstract
Improved conditions are disclosed for the Liebeskind-Srogl reaction between dihydropyrimidines and tributyltin derivatives. This pallado-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction allows us to synthesize potentially biologically active 2-aryl-1,4-dihydropyrimidine derivatives in good to excellent yields.
