Abstract
A simple and efficient method for the synthesis of naphtha[1,2-e]oxazinone and dibenzoxanthenes derivative has been described using zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) as a heterogeneous catalyst under thermal and solvent-free conditions. ZnO-NPs make the reaction inexpensive and the procedure is an attractive alternative to the existing methodologies for the synthesis of naphtha[1,2-e]oxazinone and 14-substituted-14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthenes derivatives.
