Abstract
An efficient and rapid five-step synthesis of SEA0400, a selective Na+/Ca2+ exchanger (NCX) inhibitor, using controlled microwave heating is reported. In addition, a novel three-step route omitting the key Baeyer-Villiger oxidation/hydrolysis sequence has been developed.
