Abstract
N,N,Nâ²-Trimethylallylthiourea promotes the intermolecular Pauson-Khand reaction with alkynes in the presence of Co2(CO)8 and moderate pressure of CO followed by thiourea elimination allowing the formation of methylenecyclopentenone derivatives.
