Abstract
Diels-Alder adducts of chromones are shown to undergo an intramolecular [2ÏÂ +Â 2Ï] alkene-arene photocyclization, leading to a versatile polycyclic diene which can dimerize or can be introduced into photoprotolytic oxametathesis.
