Abstract
A BODIPY-indole conjugate, 1, behaves as a colorimetric and fluorometric probe for selective and sensitive detection of Fâ. Compound 1 interacts with Fâ in a 1:1 stoichiometry via a hydrogen bonding interaction between the indolic NH proton and Fâ, leading to clear color change from blue to green and quenching of orange fluorescence.
