Abstract
A chromatography free synthesis of 2-amino-5-isatinylidenethiazol-4-ones from rhodanine, isatin, and amine under environmentally benevolent conditions is reported for the first time. The molecular scaffolds assimilating both indolinone and thiazolidinone moieties are reported to have great biological significance.
