Abstract
The structures of a procyanidin tetramer and pentamer from unripe apple (Malus pumila) were elucidated by low-temperature NMR analysis at â34 °C. These structures were [epicatechin-(4βâ6)-epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin (1)] and [epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin-(4βâ8)-epicatechin (2)].
