Abstract
New corrole-d-galactose conjugates were synthesized from the reaction of 5,10,15-tris(pentafluorophenyl)corrole and 1,2:3,4-di-O-isopropylidene-α-d-galactopyranose. The monosubstituted isomers were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The latter studies can be used to differentiate the two conjugate isomers. The photophysical properties and the photodynamic effect on Jurkat cells were evaluated for the main conjugate isolated.
