Synthesis of isoindol-1-ylphosphonate derivatives via Pd(0)-catalyzed reaction of α-amino (2-alkynylphenyl) methylphosphonate with aryl iodide

α-Amino (2-alkynylphenyl) methylphosphonate, which was generated from 2-alkynyl benzaldehyde, amine, and diethyl phosphate, reacted with aryl iodide at room temperature in the presence of catalytic amount of Pd2(dba)3 and DABCO in acetone, leading to the desired isoindol-1-ylphosphonate derivatives in good to excellent yields.
