Abstract
A new SASRIN resin derivative, SASRIN-TOPCAT resin, was synthesized by the reaction of SASRIN resin with 2-thiopyridyl chloroformate. The new resin can be used for the loading of alcohols and thiols under neutral conditions, and the release of alcohol from the resin is achieved by the treatment of 1% TFA in CH2Cl2 for 15-60Â min. Compared to the other reported resins, SASRIN-TOPCAT resin is more suitable for the loading of alcohols in solid-phase organic synthesis.
