Abstract
New diamines and tetramines bridged by a low band gap rendering chromophore benzo[1,2,5]selenadiazole were synthesized by following palladium-catalyzed methodologies developed by Hartwig, Stille, or Suzuki. These donor–acceptor compounds display unique absorption and emission characteristics, which are dependent on the strength of the donors.
