Abstract
Oxidation of ascorbate with substituted nitrosobenzenes is a proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) reaction and the observed kinetic isotope effects (KIE) in the reaction, kH2O/kD2O, change dramatically with a change in solvent polarity.
