Abstract
A crystal engineering rationale has been exploited to achieve an easy access to an organometallic low molecular weight gelator (LMWG) derived from a salt of ferrocene-1,1â²-dicarboxylic acid (FDCA) and dicyclohexyl amine (DCHA). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report wherein a crystal engineering approach has been exploited to design an organometallic LMWG.
